Can't export RCP of point cloud

    Early this week, I got an error when I tried to export an RCP file:

    The procedure entry point 
    ?CommunicationLostEvent@SlaveTask@castor@@EEAAXXZ
    could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program
    Files\Trimble\Trimble Buisness Center\TrimbleCodec_100.rcip.

    TrimbleCodec_100.rcip is in fact located in that spot on my C drive... 

    I saw that the forum was closed when I first tried to ask about this, so I came back today to see if there where any updates.

    I tried to export an RCP again and TBC just crashes now.  No error.

    Do you have a valid license of Autodesk Recap installed? You need that license in order to export RCP format.

    Hey Chris, 

    Depending on what version of TBC you have, the order that the programs were installed could be causing the issue. 

    Could you try to uninstall Recap, Uninstall TBC via the cleanup utility, install recap and then install TBC. Recap must be installed prior to TBC in earlier versions of TBC to function correctly. 

    Let me know if this resolves the issue.

    Ok, thanks. I've been on the latest version of all programs, but will do as you ask.

    Hey Chris, 

    I've been notified by our support team that we saw some cases coming in this week with this issue. We currently have this escalated to our engineers and are looking into the cause and resolution. 

    This could be an issue with windows or another software update. 

    The order of installation was resolved with 5.40 so I wouldn't suspect that as being the problem if you were running 5.40 as indicated.

    I've asked support to keep me updated and let me know as soon as they figure out what the issue is.

    Hey Chris, 

    I think this could be solved in 5.40+ version by removing the file:
    "C:\Program Files\Trimble\Trimble Business Center\TrimbleCodec_100.rcip"

    Can you try launching TBC, deleting that file and export and see if the issue is resolved.
