Is there any way that instead of having to click along linework and arcs etc, we can double click for example the direction of the line we want to create and it will automatically create a new line over the existing line. This would be extremely useful for messy linework in drawings. AGTEK has a function where you can click a node on the line, and double click the direction and it will create a new line based on the underlying one. You can then click along that new line to shorten it if need be to then go into a different direction.

"Append Tracked Line" command will do what you're looking for.
