Corridor from Surface/Alignment

I've been trying to create a corridor model I can use to verify subgrade elevations for a roadway. I have a finished grade alignment and profile and a subgrade tin surface all from a Civil 3d drawing. I was hoping I could create the corridor model using just these items but I'm struggling. Anyone have any tips or best process for doing this?

    Thanks,

When you create a corridor and insert a template, use the Surface instruction to add an existing surface to the corridor.

The use of another surface to create a corridor instruction.  The new surface does not generate properly.  As the new surface is trying to add new vertices/  if you can Explode the surface or import the surface, letting the import function explode the surface for you.
