Hi Ben,
I believe it is a very good idea, one I have been asking for myself for a long time. But I think that the best way to raise such a request is thru your TBC Dealer, whom you have purchased your license from. I do not think that enhancement request posted here are acted upon.
In the meantime (my guess is that solids will be available in TBC 7.3 is released in 2026) I'd recommend Utilities module and custom shaped or rectangular shaped utilities runs
Here's my yet another workaround: you cannot "use" (snap, export, explode) custom shape utilities, but you can export Rectangular and Circular utilities to TRB file. Then you can re-import your TRB, which will enable snap.
It ain't perfect, but it "works" for certain workflows. E.g. I've been modelling soil-nails like that.
Perhaps free sketch up could help with that as well. Modelling solids in sketchup is easy. 5.80 is supposed to finally support SKP import.

Subject: creating solid shape
Trimble,
As and enhancement request I would like the ability to create a solid shape. There are limitations using traditional ttm modeling. I would like to use it much like the side slope command where you could attach a shape such as a curb mold to a 3-d linestring and control the curb to be carry or spill curb. Also, I find modeling chimney filters on dams would be another great place to use it since generally due to the height of the chimney filter it usually creates a parallelogram and you can't model it because the top is offset from the bottom. There are many other places I would use this, please give it some thought.
