    Dear

I am a PhD researcher in the Pescara-Chieti university in Italy and I won a competition in this university in the field of the geotechnical engineering and I am trying to create a Digital Twin from the sloped region in the Italy region to predict the land sliding hazard in the area and I need to create the region through the point cloud data to be imported into the Plaxis software (Bentley) and create the model. I received the data from the survey and drone (UAV) exploration with the following prefix file data which shows it could be imported by the Trimble Business Center software (.vce prefix):

    .psx

    .T02

    .vce

    .jpg

    .tif

    .job

    .21f

    .21g

    .21l

    .21n

    .21o

    .ovr

    .historyindex

    .historylog

    .xml

    .oc3

.grp (folder named "depth_map" with the mentioned prefix)

.exr (folder named "depth_map" with the mentioned prefix)

.ply (folder named "point_cloud" with the mentioned prefix)

.mtl (folder named "3D model" with the mentioned prefix)

.obj (folder named "3D model" with the mentioned prefix)

I am completely unfamiliar with the Trimble Business Center software and I want to know that if the mentioned files can be imported into the TBC software and I can extract the point cloud data from that to be imported into the Bentley software. I just imported some of the files and create the model with the 2D image (Fig. 1), but it seems it is just a 2D image without the coordinates. Could I extract the coordinates and point cloud data from the mentioned files to be imported into the Bentley software? I would be thankful if you may please guide me in this process and let me know if I could do with them.

I look forward to hearing from you

    Thanks

    Amir Farshadfar
