Hi All,

Is there a method to add a point (or more) between two existing points and have the field to finish linestring go through the new point in sequence?

For example, let's say I have points 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 with a F2F line feature connecting them in sequence. Is there a method of adding an additional point (i.e. 1.1, 1.2, etc.) between points 1 and 2 and have the line go through the new point(s) then on to the next in sequence? I've tried using point 1.1 or point 1a. However, TBC doesn't seem to recognize these in sequence still and the auto-generated line will go through the new point(s) after point 5.

Sometimes, field data comes into the office and another segment (or more) must be added in between two existing points (ex. complex curve). Currently, I just replace the entire sequence with new points, adding in the additional point(s) needed to make the line (or curve) feature correct.

I have run into the similar situation before. But in the latest 5.40 release, the problem seems to be solved. See below. I created points 1 to 5 first, assigned a line feature code (EPMT) to them, processed feature codes. Then I added two points 1.1 and 1.2, assigned the same code to them, and recomputed the project. TBC updated the line as expected.

Did this work for you?  I have tried doing this in Trimble Access and TBC and it doesn't seem to work. I am using version 2023.11 of TBC.

Did this end up working for you?  I tried this in Trimble Access and TBC and it hasn't worked for me.  I'm on version 2023.11 of TBC.
