Hello John,
In my experience this issue is usually caused by a driver conflict with TBC and your graphic card. It can be hard to diagnose the issue because it depends on the device you are currently using, graphic card, and OS etc.
Try these steps
1. Make sure that your graphic card driver is up to date
2. Insure that your system drivers and motherboard BIOS are up to date.
3. Make sure that you are running the most current build of Windows.
After you have completed these steps restart your PC and see if you still run into the problem.
If you are still having problems than try the following:
Go to Support, Options, and Advanced - this will allow you to change which version of DirectX you are using. The default for Windows 10 is DirectX 11, however you can downgrade to DirectX 9, give that a try. If that does not solve the issue then try the OpenGL and Open GL2 options and as a last resort you can try Windows GDI.
Some PCs have two options for graphics usually a dedicated graphics card and an integrated graphic chipset build into the motherboard. If this is the case for you, try disabling your integrated graphics chipset. This should be called INTEL Graphics or something similar in your device manager.
I hope that this will solve your issue, if the problem persists please let us know.
