How can I export multiple alignments?

  • 1.  How can I export multiple alignments?

I have a job with multiple alignments. Is there an export format that can capture all of those alignments where I can just drag and drop that one file into different models I'm building and have the alignments come into my project?

For TBC to TBC always use VCL format files - in Export - Construction - it is at the bottom of the list - That lets you select any type of TBC data and export it with full "richness" i.e. for a HAL it will export the HAL, VAL, Super and Station Equations etc. VCL is actually the same as a VCE File but with Survey and Coordinate System Information stripped out

Outputting data to 3rd party software then depending on the software / region you are working in will dictate the right method - LandXML is pretty common worldwide, 12D in Australia, GENIO in UK, REB in Germany etc. All support alignments (but not all functions of the alignment (like Superelevation)

    Hope this helps

How about exporting multiple alignments to the TSC7 with Trimble Access. How do I accomplish this task?

You can export them as .xml files, too.

Export --> Construction --> LandXML Exporter.

The tsc7 controller asks me to change the xml file to rxl with the alignment. How to make it work on only xml?

I suggest to you the easiest solution in this case, namely, decide to export them as .xml files. Just go into Export, then you go directly into construction, and at the very end you have LandXML Exporter. .xml files, all in all this is the quickest and not very time-consuming solution.
