I explode both corridor surfaces and manually elevate the linework connecting the two roads and create a new surface with everything in it.

This is the best answer. I bet we do 100 subdivisions per year and haven't found a better way. We can't find enough consistency in any advanced commands to rely on them (vertical design).

Just adding a couple details to what Matthew said, Explode both corridor surfaces, then use the elevate lines command to elevate the corner linework by intersecting lines. Then I would suggest immediately deleting the exploded corridor linework. That way if you adjust the corridor, and need to do it again, it forces you to explode again, which takes all of 10 seconds. If the engineer failed to include flow line linework, or you don't have sidewalk linework that goes from one corridor to another, offset that first as 2D lines. Then when you elevate by intersecting lines you're all good.

Most important part that Matthew said though, add them to a new surface. So you'll add both corridor surfaces and your corner linework, all goes to a NEW surface. Do this and never look back.

Create Intersection is pretty cool, but limited. You can only build out to the shoulder automatically, then have to use offsets and surfaces ties to get the curb/sidewalk/slopes to dial in. I can pick a radius that matches the CAD and get things really close, but sometimes not exact if there are turn pockets and what not designed in other software. For residential subdivisions, it's close enough.

It does not handle subgrades, so I still need to mess around with picked the different subgrade surfaces and re-running the intersection command to see if that works. Again, generally not a big deal for smaller residential jobs.
