Motorgrader setting in earthworks

Motorgrader question.  I know how to set eartworks up to make a widening on an existing blacktop road, but how do i get it to follow each elevation shot in?.  Its a rolling hill road so i cant just shoot in a start and end.  I shoot apx 75 shots and i want my machine to match those existing elevations.  Its not following the existing road elevations and is way off.   Thank you

Where these shot with a rover or the machine?  To build your path inside of Earthworks may be tricky.  It would alignment and section inside of EW.  With a rover it can be easier and in TBC even more.

A suggestion, what about using a sonic tracer on the motor grader?  Bench the tracer over the existing blacktop, then set your cross slope to whatever you need the fall to be.  The tracer would hold the elevation and match the existing surface and the rest of the blade widens your surface.  It should be more simple, no GNSS or UTS calibrations to fool with, and fairly low cost if there's an existing system in place since sonics are a 2D guidance method and would be part of the core.

I take shots with machine, but it does not have sonic sensors

From within Trimble Earthworks, you would string together the 75 points into an alignment and offset that grade left/right.  It will be under the "Job Setup" section, select infield designs, and create a alignment and section, unless you're on 2.18 then you can make it under "Guidance Surface".  With 75 points this will take a bit and without seeing the points on hand it would be hard to walk you through it with steps here.   Use the help and tutorials.

With that many points, it's easier to do it with a data collector or TBC.  If you export the points, it's a much easier task to string it all together on a computer.  Again, for the best and easiest match, the sonic tracer would do what you need without having to massage points and data.
