Currently I have to test different scenarios for access ramps (crane pad, loading pad, moxy access). For that I prefer to use sideslopes since those can be attached to any linestring. If I drag the linestrings around in plan view the 3D model will change immediately. Unlike a corridor where I'd have to create and apply new alignments all the time.
If there are more complicate sections along the way, i.e. a moxy turn bay, I'll create a separate sideslope for it. But there doesn't seem to be a simple way to change the sideslope start position.
You can easily change the end position, but the start ???
I can do it easily via a macro by the way, but such a basic thing should be possible out of the box.
