I have created a poly line by joining a number of segments.

When I try to offset this line, it creates a vague figure.

It is obvious that there is some rogue segment somewhere in the polyline that needs editing.

What is the way to zero-in on the rouge segment to edit the same.

Attached PDF file gives the screen shots before and after offsetting the polyline.
 
The zip file is the vce file. (vce file could not be uploaded !!!)

Checked your vce file and had no problem with creating a offset line, not sure where the rogue elements are that you mentioned. Will you be able to send me your vce file with the rogue elements? Here is a pdf showing my green offset line I create, am I using the correct line to offset too?

Hi Saif

I tested the offset and found that you can create and offset of 1.5m to the right and 0.5m to left that will work. The segments of you line are very short in some parts so when you create an offset where the lines have to cross over each other or it has to double back on itself to keep the line string as a one continues segment the "rogue" elements show up.

Hi Saif

You will have to check the whole line and where you see errors you can manually edit them. To do this select to offset line and right click, in the menu that pops up choose Edit. You will then be able to edit each segment of the line that you select, see my image below.
