Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I have a question and would appreciate your help. I'm currently working on a take-off for a site renovation project.

The asphalt pavement will be resurfaced over the existing asphalt, which means there is no fixed thickness.

I have already created the original surface and the finished surface.

I don't know how to set the thickness for the new asphalt layer, since Site Improvements only allows setting a fixed thickness.

I'd be grateful for any support on this.

I have not seen a MSI for variable thickness.  You would just have to do a take off in a CORRIDOR.   Won't you have to remove the old hotmix and redo the subgrade?  Placing hotmix at variable depth would be a pain.
