You can do it with the Side Slope command, but to make it simpler I built a little calculator:
I use this a lot for rip rap where the typical section shows the thickness of the rock. A perpendicular offset is easy in the field, for both machines and rovers, but it screws up the catch points.

I'm trying to offset a top of batter line down the batter by a certain amount and i can't seem to find a side slope corridor menu that works.
All the option just seem to give me the horizontal offset of 2.5m as opposed to the slope between the nodes at 2.5m.
I select Node to Node to define the slope, but the offset/elevation options don't seem to give me what i'm after.
Screenshot below shows that I'm trying to get the (blue) distance down the slope as 2.5m not horizontal & vertical distances.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
