I have seen this happen before on an early model SX10 in cluttered Wifi environments. To be fair to Trimble, Wifi is an open spec and not all kit plays nice. A replacement board (which I understand to have a newer radio chip) seems to handle these situations better, but as with all things radio, YMMV.
Alternatively, if you can, use the USB cable in the bottom of the case during scans. Or, try changing the WiFi channel in connection settings (free apps for your phone can tell you which channels are less cluttered).
Good luck!

Subject: SX10 often losing connection to TSC7 during scans
Has anyone come about solving this issue?
Having the same problem with my TSC7 and SX10 where the Wifi will disconnect while performing a scan.

Subject: SX10 often losing connection to TSC7 during scans
Often during a SX10 scan, when I'm sure there's other Wifi networks in the area, connection will be lost to the TSC7 and it won't reconnect. SX10 will scan until its buffer is full and then be motionless. My recourse (after it stops scanning) is to open and close the SX10 battery door, power on, and then resume scan once connection is established again. This can happen when the TSC7 is 7 feet from the SX10.
Has anyone else had this type of issue?
I've had this issue since July of last year and have been prodding my vendor with this issue which they inquire to Trimble. I'm on all current versions of TA, firmware, and Windows OS.
