Takeoff Report Error! - Material Quantities

    Hi all,

    I have noticed that the takeoff reports material quantities are not accurate at all. 

    For example;

    Surface Area    Depth (mm) Volume (m3)  
    Soft Landscaping 18693.9 m²      Calculated Total   TBC Total   Difference  % Diff
    Soils: Topsoil 18693.9   150 2799m³                               2,804             2,799                       5 0.18%
    Slabs 2131.6 m²       
    Paving: Slabs 2131.6   35 54m³                                     75                  54                     21 38.16%
    Aggregates: Sand 2131.6   25 29m³                                     53                  29                     24 83.76%
    Aggregates: Type 1 2131.6   100 211m³                                  213                211                       2 1.02%

    For example, 'Paving: Slabs' 

    Area 2131.6m2 * Depth 0.035m = Volume 74.606

    Trimble calculates this simple formula to 54m3.

    This is on numerous site improvement regions throughout the report generated in the 'Takeoff Report' button

    I assumed it could be calculating based on 3D area instead of plan, but I would assume that the % difference to plan would be consistent to each site region.


    2 AOIs used in this example, with the totals coming from the 'Total of all AOIs'

    Jake,

    Were you able to resolve this? Sorry I am ~1.5 years late here loL! There are several post going back several years on this around getting the "AOI" correct and any linestrings that may be part of your surface. See here for reference: https://community.trimble.com/discussion/takeoff-report-using-aois-vs-no-aois. It may also be worth checking the options under takeoff to verify that the edge tolerance is what you want it to be set to. See screenshot below.
