I've noticed there is an issue with creating scan station, basically whole survey is being scaled up during the process.
Why am I using Create Chainage (old create scan station)?
I have got into this habit creating scan stations when I wanted to move point cloud and survey points related to it, into a different location.
For example, like here, I had no visible control points as it was basement, so I did station set up with bearing, marked some control on level above and surveyed those points and captured them from level above with resection setup. Later on I could combine them inside TBC into one survey.
In previous versions there was a bug that did not allowed you to move survey and point cloud using Transform Survey Points, without first creating scan stations (giving station a prefix/suffix, etc). It was a workaround I have found on this forum. However, now I have noticed that this has been fixed, and point cloud moves well with Transform Survey Points.
So for everyone who used that workaround, heads up. It blows your survey, scales it up. I'm not sure if that's how it supposed to work, there is an warning before using this function, it states that position of panoramas in relation to scans might change but doesn't mention that it's going to scale things up.
Before create chainage - look at the dimension between two points its 15.04m
After Create Chainage - after using this functions distance becomes 15.1m
