i tried the online installer as well as the offline installer.
I tried the Cleaning-Tool as well as i checked the task-manager if the API is running.

i have tried starting the program as administrator.

I have no clue, can someone point me in the right direction please?

    Thanks very much,

    Same here.

And I thougt I was the Only One

Brief summary of what we have done

Problem: Installing TBC 2026.10 consistently failed during the Trimble Activities API / Local Dataset Workspaces API module, showing the message:
"Service failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges."

Although it looked like a permissions issue, the real problem was that the Windows service was stuck in StartPending, meaning Windows was blocking it from starting.

    1. Service verification

    We checked the Windows service:

    Code
    Trimble.Scs.Activities.API

It existed, but it never started (StartPending), which prevents the installer from continuing.

    2. Actions performed

    • Deleted the stuck service using sc delete.

    • Removed INF packages using pnputil.

    • Checked Device Manager (drivers did not appear because they were "phantom drivers").

    • Confirmed Memory Integrity still detected incompatibilities.

    • Identified the need to remove the .sys files directly from System32\drivers.

    3. Technical conclusion

The failure is not caused by TBC, the installer, the hardware, or user permissions.

The root cause is Windows blocking the Activities API service due to something.

I tried it into another PC and it installed

    Hey
    I have the same issue

Something about my PC Window blocking the API installer.
    I had tried many things.

Curious about, I used the installer into another PC and it had no issues.

But in this PC im trying harder to install it and it wont let me.
I had also used the Clean up utility, offline , online, no internet access with all of the firewall off . . . and still the API fails to start or to go thru. let me see if it is the HASP key

    Nothing Yet with the installer

Made it by installing one by one from the offline. Making sure which installer are needed per regions.

The API never installed, but TBC is running again. (At one point there was an issue about not recognizing the Folder projects)

    Till now no issues.

You have to download the offline version.

    Unpack

Inside the package, you're going to see all the utilities or extensions independently.

Then see which apply for your region, and some of them are already installed in a new version.

The only one that did not installed is the  "Trimble.Scs.Activities.API.Installer"
