    Last week, I happened to see a LinkedIn post about a TBC Power Hour webinar this week... (not sure why it didn't show up in the TBC newsfeed and wasn't posted here)

    And then last night heard that the installers were available online!

    There's a lot going on with this release - including an extra kick: 85+ commands/features from the ANZ Toolbox are now included with every TBC subscription!  And yes, Dark mode returns! (as an early Beta)

    Note: ANZ Toolbox used to be an extra add-on module. For perpetual users who already have the ANZ add-on, you will continue to have access.

    Hi Marshall, I attended the webinar and asked some questions about this.

    If you are a perpetual user and already had the ANZ Toolbox module:

    • you will continue to have access to the 85+ commands/features (I updated my count) that came from the ANZ Toolbox

    If you are a subscription user:

    • you don't have to add anything and you get access in 2026.10
    • you might not have access in TBC versions earlier than 2026.10.  The focus was on 2026.10, but they said they'd look into it (my personal guess is older TBC versions won't give ANZ access to subscribers)

    If you are a perpetual user and don't have the ANZ Toolbox:

    • you won't be able to add it anymore.  It's my understanding that dealers stopped selling new perpetual licenses and new perpetual add-ons in 2026 - they now only sell warranty extensions.

    Sounds like there are conversations about shorter subscriptions (3 months, 1 month) and how to serve large enterprises who have 100's of users sharing perpetual network licenses.

    They were clear that 2026 is the last chance to trade in your perpetual licenses for a heavy discount (discount lasts 1 year if license expired, lasts 2 years if warranty is active, +1 year if the product is a competitor)  Discount may vary by dealer.

    It's very disappointing that Trimble is segregating its users based on their licensing model. I have a valid perpetual licence with maintenance for the next two years, yet I can't benefit from the ANZ tools, while subscription users can. My dealer never mentioned that choosing a perpetual licence would mean missing out on new features. I hope Trimble reconsiders this approach and treats all loyal customers equally, regardless of whether they use perpetual or subscription licences.
