Trimble Business Center

Is anyone else having issues with drag and dropping a file into TBC 5.70? I don't do this that often but have found that it doesn't seem to be working. Trying to deduce if this is a my PC issue or TBC bug.

Patrick: did a quick test. Created a VCL, new project, dragged and dropped the VCL into it. Worked OK.

I am running win 10, and can't seem to drag & drop a .dxf.  so weird this release.

Yeah I had it installed, but then thought I hit an issue unique to 5.70 (it wasn't lol) and I didn't want to have to constantly downgrade files for my team so I just abandoned it and went back to 5.60. Glad I did after seeing some of these strange problems. I can't imagine what I would do if I couldn't drag and drop a dxf. I'm assuming the long form import command works properly. I'm a dragger and dropper. Ain't got time for the importer.

Drag and drop is working for me on windows 10 with vcl, dxf, pdf, png, and dji UAS.

One issue I did have was the first vce project I tried to open from 5.6 in 5.7 it said the file was corrupted.  I was able to open other projects but not that one.  I went and opened it in 5.6 and it opened fine.  Still wouldn't open in 5.7.  After some random screwing around in 5.6 it was able to open in 5.7 and have yet to have any other issues with it.

Windows will block drag-drop if you run the application (TBC)) with elevated permissions. So if you ever use "run as admin", drag-drop will be disabled.
