TBC + Trimble Connect Workflow Story to Share?

    Do you use TBC in combination with Trimble Connect to create and deliver projects to your clients?

    Do you want to promote your workflow, company, and/or Trimble skills across Trimble's global user base and social media reach?

    Are you reading these questions in your head with an exaggerated amount of inflection and want them to stop?

    As the Trimble Geospatial and Construction teams work to build out connections and workflows to/from/with Trimble Connect, we'd like to showcase what is already being done.  So, good, bad, maybe sometimes both, we want to hear from you.  Please contact Joe Blecha - joseph_blecha@trimble.com or reply to this thread with your ideas and we'll reach out for a possible webinar or story to document and learn from your workflow.

    Hi Joe

    I like connect for collaboration, but we can't 'save file remotely' and create a folder/filespace for a new Connect project from TBC.

    No errors, just no ability to create or share a project folder from within TBC. Plus, CEC dealers can't resell Connect licenses.

    Hi Nelson, 

    Have you applied the latest update - 5.90.1?

    There was a patch released over the weekend that fixed issues with Export and saving files to Connect.

    I tried myself with v5.90.1 and it is able to Save the project Remotely and Export items direct to a Connect folder now. The option to save the Project won't be enabled until you've selected the Server location and a Project folder - e.g. North America / Palmer Airport as an example for you.

    I saw the same as you until I selected an actual project to save to as per below:

    I never personally had any issues opening or saving a project to Connect. My comment to Joe was about the unfortunate necessity to start projects and manage the sharing in-browser.
