You'll need to log this officially through your dealer. Otherwise it most likely will not catch the developers attention.
There had been complains from Scandinavian users about saving behaviors that had been narrowed down to special characters in the path as well.
Supposedly that got fixed in the new release, but it might have messed up something else. Especially when you write that v5.6 works and 5.7 doesn't.

now that you mention it, there are special characters in it, a dash (-), an ampersand (&), and a comma (,). However there have always been those special characters for years, no problem and its only in the last month that this issue has arisen.
We are now up to 8 confirmed known users with this exact issue.
Interestingly enough, I just installed TBC 5.61 on my machine (normal user account same as our end users) and I can save no problem to those directories where the other 8 users cannot.
Further complicating the issue is if you switch the location from documents to desktop, it does save successfully.
i.e. C:\Users\username\OneDrive - OurFirm & Associates, Inc\Desktop\Trimble Business Center\
but C:\Users\username\OneDrive - OurFirm & Associates, Inc\Documents\Trimble Business Center\ will error out.

Just tested it on our OneDrive, works for me. Even with a comma in the path.
Do you have any other special characters in that path name? TBC can be a bit picky about that.

Subject: TBC Unable To Write/Save To OneDrive Documents Folder Location
Our TBC users running TBC 5.61 are unable to even open new projects. In File > Options > Project Management folder is set to: C:\Users\username\OneDrive - OurFirm, Inc\Documents\Trimble Business Center\
However, Trimble throws an error when they try to create a new project.
Error: "could not find file 'C:\Users\username\OneDrive - OurFirm, Inc\Documents\Trimble Business Center\Unnamed(1)'.
Even though the folder does exist and we can navigate to it manually in Explorer. Furthermore all other applications can write to that same location, no problem.
Initially I thought it was a corrupt Windows 10 image or a bad windows user profile. However, after 1st creating a new windows user profile and no change, then re-imaging the machine and no change, and now other users reporting same issue I am not sure what the cause is?
Appreciate any input and direction here.
