There's a bug we've been coming across where TBC version 2024 has been truncating our field crews codes if the same code is used twice:

We're having to uninstall Access and Business Center 2024 to revert back to 2023 versions.

TA isn't the issue, we tested that earlier.  We're only needing to roll back the access version so we can continue using TBC 2023, as the truncation of field codes is happening in TBC 2024.

The snips above are from a TA 2023 JOB file imported into the different versions of TBC.

You shouldn't have to roll back Access then. You can always use a newer Access version with an older TBC, as long as you install the newer office converter which is necessary in order for TBC to understand the latest JOB-file format.

Downgrading TBC is still a pain. That's why I always keep the previous TBC versions. I can't remember any major release version in the last 4 years that didn't mess something up that did work previously and had to be quick patched.

Once you've installed a new TBC version go to "C:\Program Files\Trimble" and create a full copy of the folder "Trimble Business Center". Afterwards rename that folder

and create a shortcut to the "TrimbleBusinessCenter.exe" inside that new folder.

And loading a newer VCE file into an older TBC version usually works by pressing CTRL+Shift while dragging/dropping the VCE onto the old TBC.
