TSC5 Works Manager Sync Siteworks

  • 1.  TSC5 Works Manager Sync Siteworks

WM sync seems to work fine on the machines, however I'm struggling to sync my TSC5 controller to the projects.

I usually use Access anyway so isn't a huge deal, however would be great to get siteworks synced up.

I've checked the WM sync setting in Siteworks and i've made sure to add the device on WM as Tablet - (Serial) as shown in siteworks. I've made sure the password is the same however when i try to run the Worksmanager Sync in Siteworks, I get the message that it could not retrieve data and to check credentials.

Is there something i'm missing?  I tied to claim the device in WM however it gives me the message that device must be claimed in the field.

    Thanks

    Richard

Connecting a device (machine or tablet) to Worksmanager is a multi step process where you have to go forth and back between device and Worksmanager (I find that new process rather annoying, compared to the old TCC).

    • on the device - find out serial number/name
    • on WM in Account Management Devices - add device with correct name, serial number and password
    • on the device - enter credentials and use "test" to test the connection
    • if the test was successful -> on WM in Account Management Devices - reload page - you should see some blue circular arrows beside your device - click on those
    • after a moment you should get a message "successfully claimed"
    • on WM change to the project webpage and add your device to the project - now all the designs will be created in a folder with your devices name
    • in Siteworks - only now you can go too synch and try to synchronize
