Your best bet would be to utilize a USB stick, not too large and FAT32 formatted. Open the file explorer on the TSC3 and copy the files to the stick and then to your laptop.
The TSC3 uses the really old Windows Mobile, latest version somewhere around 2010. In order to connect it via cable to the laptop you had to install the "windows mobile device center" (WMDC), which Microsoft doesn't even offer as download anymore (Microsoft ended support 2012). Trimble did have it on one of their TSC3 pages. But it was already an issue to get it to run under Win10, Trimble had published a registry patch to make it work. Sprtnote_WMDC_WindowsConnectionIssues_0617.pdf (trimble.com) The links in the document still work. You'd need the amd64 one, and the registry patch under "here" at the very bottom. There are links on the forum for a registry patch from a different source, but I've seen the virus scanner being triggered with that one. The Trimble one is officially signed.
I never tried if it would work under Win11. The TSC3 is "end of life" since 3 years, and the operating system since 12 years.
Haven't seen one in a while, although I did like working with it. Especially the light weight compared to the TSC7 can make a difference when you have to carry it around the whole day. With the latest revision of the TSC7 they have at least got the battery consumption somewhat under control.
