Using Digitized Cross Sections, and Design Cross Sections From Model to Check Grades

What is the best way to compare your model to the plan cross sections. I would like to know what the most efficient way is for two scenarios.

    1. When you have both pdf cross sections and CAD cross sections.
    2. When you only have pdf cross sections.

I don't currently have the take off module for digitizing pdf cross sections, so I don't know how good it is. I also don't know if you can digitize cross section cad lines as well with the take off module.

I have a corridor that I built, and I am able to create cross sections and plot them all on one sheet in TBC, and would like to create a surface from the cross sections, to then be able to add to my corridor as a reference surface, that way I can check the model I created with the plan line work.

If you have a corridor built, create different materials for every layer. (Asphalt, gravel, ect) then using earthwork report, compare each individually.
