For service locating plans, I'd try to keep the depth value as its own attribute rather than baking it only into the point elevation. It also helps to record a few field notes with each located point: locator used, frequency, power mode, signal quality, and whether the mark came from a direct connection, clamp, sonde, or passive locate. That makes the data much easier to audit later in TBC.
