After changing the setting it initially fixed the issue, I immediately posted that it worked. Not long after it bugged out and I made note again. Since that day that particular issue has apparently resolved on its own, as i has been closing normally without having to end task.
Note: I believe I upgraded from 5.70 to 5.81 and did not have the intermittent end task before issue, that I can recall. I am fairly new to using TBC and I learned right away TBC was fickle about how you open, save, close projects and then ultimately exit the program. I always try to save, close project and then exit.

That looks like a graphics driver issue.
Have you tried setting it to another graphics mode, i.e. OpenGL? You'll need to restart TBC after that.
Are you using a docking station? Have you tried without it.

Version 5.80 started crashing on me. in CAD, surfaces, and almost every time I try to exit the program. The only way to close the program is with task manager.
I've installed version 5.81 with no change.
This happens on all my projects.
