I forgot about F1! Thanks for the info.
I must still be missing something though. If I have a 3D linestrings and I want to elevate other lines off that line using the global vertical design commands, as soon as I go to add a rule it unelevates the 3D linestring I'm trying to use as the source.

Subject: Where is Global Vertical Design?
Take a look at the F1 Help Topic "Create a Global Vertical Design" for a full explanation:
To access the command: - Right-click the Vertical Designs node in the Project Explorer and proceed to step 1 below.
Note: If the Vertical Designs node is not visible, you will need to create a vertical design by selecting Create Vertical Design on the Data Prep ribbon first. Tip: To launch the global vertical design commands, you must right-click the Vertical Designs node in the Project Explorer. Because this node is not visible by default, if you plan to use global vertical designs often, you should create an empty, standard vertical design (Data Prep > Create Vertical Design) in a blank project and save it as a project template to use whenever you want quick access to the global vertical design commands.

I just searched for the command and I can't find it! I'm very excited to try this feature.
