Add coordinates height adjustment doesn't work.

Hi there,

It's my first post and I don't have much experience with TBC lol.
Recently I got a .job file to process with RTK measurements inside. We had our own base station in UTM there and we shot about 10 points using it.
After the points had been tied in, the coordinates of our base were adjusted, hence, I needed to change them so then our RTK points' coords would change too.
In order to get where I wanted, I went to add coordinates and I changed northing, easting and elevation of the base station. I made it control quality and then I pressed the red button to recalculate.
After checking the result, I noticed that northing and easting changed, but elevation did not.
I was told to disable global coordinates and then try again. Although I lowered my base point by about 30mm, my RTK points went "up" by over 30mm(not 30mm)! Completely counter-intuitive...

I ended up using transformation for the entire project and I just lowered everything by the desired value. Still, I would like to know why the first method didn't work.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Thanks

My TBC version is 5.7

Instead of disabling the unwanted coordinates, I recommend that people delete them entirely. In practice, after importing field data, I delete ALL coordinates (grid, local, global) and start with a fresh control quality grid coordinate import from a .csv file. If you use NGS data sheets, you can import those but I don't use NGS control directly in practice. This isn't about trust with the field work, this is about ensuring that the right coordinates are being used. The work I process is almost entirely done by me or under my direction.
