Adjusting the Base Point of a Point Cloud

Hello everyone,

I am using a Trimble SX12 and analyzing the data with TBC (Trimble Business Center) version 2024.10.

When I acquired the point cloud in the field, I set up the SX12 using the resection method. However, I couldn't set it up correctly because I had entered the wrong coordinates for multiple points.

For example:

Incorrect Coordinates:

  • X: 148922.055

  • Y: 50239.441

  • Z: 3.653

Correct Coordinates:

  • X: 148922.055

  • Y: 50239.441

  • Z: 4.653

...and so on for other points.

What is the correct way to modify the base points of the incorrect point cloud data to move the point cloud to its proper location?

Here are the methods I have already tried:

  1. I attempted to correct the coordinates of the points in the Project Explorer. While the points themselves moved, the point cloud data did not.

  2. I also tried editing the instrument height in the Optical Spreadsheet, but this did not move the point cloud either.

Could someone please advise me on the proper procedure for this?

Update: I was able to solve this problem. Thank you to everyone who looked at my question.

The problem was that the point cloud data was fixed. After unlocking it, I was able to move the data as intended.
