 Background Map

Started TBC this morning and got this error when trying to turn the background map on. I have signed out and back in on my user profile and still get the same error.

I am running version 5.90 and have upgraded all products except the newest TBC release. This is because of an ongoing project that is in a different coordinate system than I normally use, and do not want to take a chance on version update till that project is put to bed a couple of months from now.

I'm experiencing the same thing, and it also started this week. In both v. 5.81 and 5.90.

Hello All,

One place to start if you have a Subscription or a HASP is to be logged into your TCC account via your TrimbleID or in your "Options" tab>"External Services" this is a good place to start

I have received the answer from the help desk of our vendor. After remoting in and checking various settings, he bumped the issue up to Trimble and was told that maps were disabled this week in version 5.9. From what he said it sounds like they won't be coming back either. So ready for it or not, here I come v2024.

It's probably discontinuing their old aerial map service since 2023.11 has a new map service. You could probably find 2023.11 to install instead of 2024.0
