Was hoping to get some feedback and maybe ideas to help a customer out. I have a customer doing a large scale wind farm project, he has dozens of gravel road intersections to widen in order for them to get the towers in. He is currently using simple infield design stuff to get his slopes and things to match plan grades. They just arent detailed enough to create designs for each and the cost would not be worth it. Currently they are setting up a base at each intersection( they can be miles apart in some cases) calibrating on control and going to work, just to make sure there elevations match state plane plane elevations. They would like to use VRS instead over the internet to the machine, I need to figure out how to set up a project in the machine on the correct coordinate system (Illinois west) and add the Geoid to the machine so everything is correct. The only way I know to do this is calibrate a site using VRS and State plane coordinate system with Geoid using a rover and then export this project and calibration to the machine. would this be accurate? is there an easier way Im missing?
Thank so much
