Is there a way to speed up or cancel the import file explorer?

Opening a folder from the import window can literally take minutes to display anything if the folder happens to contain many files that are obviously getting examined during the process.

This can be an excruciating pain if you inadvertently up arrow or click on something as it completely locks up TBC for the duration and neither the escape key or colorful expletives help.

Is there a way to turn off or limit the scan, or anyway kill it off?

Thanks

We have this problem too, so I generally need to avoid this method of inputting altogether. I can see the merits of vetting the files before importing, but in most cases I already know exactly what I want to import.

In years past I have asked that they add a standard Windows folder/file dialog box to import files. I think this may have fallen off of their radar, so I'm glad you brought it up.

Our favorite workaround is to drag and drop from Windows Explorer directly into the map window in TBC. Our other method is to copy and paste "IMPORT" and the exact filename into the F12 Command Line.

John,

Can you tell me what specific build you're on? If you go to the support tab and click "About" the version should be something like "Version 5.70 (5.70.xxxx.xxxxx)"

Hi Charlie,

The build is 5.70.8236.15475. It's a trial and the update to 5.70.1 is hidden / grayed out. I'm a long time PFO user looking to move across.

Thanks
