 .job file + folder renamed on desktop PC. Scan will not import into TBC after name change.

Hi All,

I have exported a .job file (and its accompanying folder) which included an SX12 scan to my desktop PC.

The job name had an error in it, so I renamed both the .job file and the folder to the correct name.

Now when I try to import the .job file into TBC, the scan will not import.

Is there a way around this, or does the job + folder name need to be exactly as it was set in Trimble Access?

I've run into the same issue in the past. The name of the "Files" folder is stored inside the JOB file. Simply changing the JOB filename has no effect.

The workaround for me is to convert it to a JXL and do a find and replace with a text editor. Then you can optionally convert it back to a JOB file.

I suppose you could make a copy with the correct name on a controller or the emulator, but I haven't tried that.
