Hi,
I need to import a Google My Maps .kml-file into TBC, modify it a bit, and Export the work into a Trimble .jxl file, for Importing in to a third program (Trimble Locus Cloud).
Problem is, that the original user has done markings in Google My Maps, that are going in to <description>*</Desciption> field in the .kml file. TBC Does not read that field at all. Is there any way I could import this info into TBC from the .kml file?
Other problem is that, TBC reads the <Name>*</Name> field from the .kml into PointID for every object. The result is that PointID field includes very long text info, which should be in a free text field in the end program (Locus Cloud). For that, I need to reroute that PointID info into a different field before exporting the .jxl. Is that possible in TBC? I have tried doing it in Notepad++ succesfully, but with that way I'm still having problems in Locus import phase.
I can't use .dwg as a format, because the end result should include 'registry info', not just map points, and that needs Features, Feature Attributes and Feature Codes to be used, that are not supported through traditional cad-files.
