 Project Linestring to Cross Section

Good day,

We are amidst construction and concerned that a newly laid gas main is too close to the road bed.  We would like to show the gas main, currently represented as a 3D linestring, projected to a cross section.

Does anybody have any ideas on how we could accomplish this in TBC?  We have Survey Advanced, Field Data, Surface Modeling and Survey Intermediate.

1) Create a corridor. Use alignment of the road. Add Finished Surface Level and Subgrade surfaces as reference objects to that corridor.
2) Add you 3D linestring as a reference object to your Corridor
3) When plotting XSections for your new alignment, your gas line will pop up as a dot
4) To improve the presentation, you could create 2x half-shell surfaces for the top and bottom of your gas main, then you will see nice circle where cross-sections contains the gas main
