Siteworks "measure network" and traverse data in TBC

On a recent job I attempted to use the "measure control network" feature in Siteworks because DOT was requiring a compass adjustment and I was looking to possibly do a network adjustment in TBC instead - I figured the .DC file would give me the ability to do either.

I set the siteworks to the published scale factor and began measuring rounds on the given control points. All residuals checked tight- almost suspiciously so

I export the .dc file into TBC and do a traverse adjustment and get ok results- about 1:33000 but then notice all my prism constants are wrong in the total station editor despite entering them correctly in the field and I have red flags everywhere about points being out of tolerance despite getting tight checks in siteworks.

When I update the prism constants my traverse adjustments get worse- about 1:11000

Anybody have any idea on what's going on or suggestions on how to handle this?

I'm not sure what numbers to trust now and am considering just manually entering the raw data.

Does anyone know if the distances shown in the raw data are scaled?

Thanks

Hi @Christopher Partridge,

If you can DM me both your DC file and your associated SPJ file in the Work Order used when you did the measurement, I can take a look and see if we're dealing with features or bugs.

And the "raw" distance measurements are not scaled, hence the raw designation.

What happens if instead of the DC file (or in addition to) you import the SPJ file into the project?  The SPJ should be properly preserving the prism constants, however it might not have all the same network measurements that TBC understands.
