 TBC 2024.00 fails to create points from BIM entities

I have imported an IFC and started the "Create from CAD" command. After selecting entities, method etc and pressing "Apply" button , it refuses with the little red triangle next to the Apply button.

I have tried lots of permutations and I can't see what I am doing wrong.

Please help if you can! Thanks

Doesn't work in 2023.11 either, and I'm pretty sure it never did. Unclear what exactly they mean with meshes in the help. It's definitely not surfaces, IFC or drainage runs.

In case you have the unlicensed RPS macros installed you could potentially explode the IFC into linework and after that you can run the create from CAD function with "line end points".

It's not good that those former Trimble sample macros aren't maintained by Trimble anymore, but instead you are forced to install third party software.

Hi Roger,

You could use the Explode 3D Objects that is included with TBC to achieve this. You will need a license for the ANZ Toolbox module (your dealer will be able to provide a demo).

There are a bunch of other 3D objects commands in the module with more coming in the next month or so.
