 TBC Tunnel Shapes

Good evening

I'm facing a problem with TBC Tunnel Shapes. When i create 2 same shapes with different geometry in each KP of the same tunnel alignment, the interval shape is missing or seriously deformed. As you can see in pictures 1-3, pictures 1 and 2 represent the shapes created in KPs 17+596.256 and 17+594.256, and picture 3 shows the automatically generated shape in KP 17+595.256 by interval (hilighted orange lines). Note that the shapes were created by inserted DXF. How can i solve this, so that the shape between the 2 KP's is formed correctly?

Thank you in advance

Hi Panagiotis,

Do both shapes have the same start point and direction(offset and height from alignment)? I looks to me from your screen shots that this may not be the case. If for example the start of the first shape start point is the  Centre line of the floor and it is built clockwise around the shape then the second shape should start point should be in the centre of the floor and be built clockwise also.

Regards

Darrell

Hello Mr Wymer and thanks for the response!

The alignment has a slope of 0.3%, so the shapes follow the alignment. Start point is not the same indeed, i will try to fix that.

I don't know about the direction, but the two shapes have different dimensions, even if they look like the same, because the tunnel has a trumpet form. I was expecting that the shape in intermediate KP (17+595.256) would be formed smoothly from the previous and the next shape.

And what about the cases where the indermadiate shape is not formed at all?

Thank you again
