Can anyone tell me why the R10-R12is have a tilt compensation limit of 15° & 30°, and what happens when points are stored above this value?

Thanks

Are those 'limits' not user set/default? I have personally measured nearly inverted and its works. I think there is a Surveying with Robert video on Youtube where he shows it too. Obviously you need to decide what you are doing and whether its acceptable or not....

R10 and R12i have different tilt compensations. In my opinion, the R10's tilt is useless.  The R12i has specifications that will have it work within the specifications listed in its data sheet.

@Michael Fletcher the limits I quoted are stated in the data sheets for the rovers.

Here is the answer to my question (for the R12i), found in a customer FAQ for the R12i.
I was looking at data for the R12i, so this does answer my question.

I'm not sure if the same applies to the R10 etc that use the trimble surepoint technology
