Works Manager Design: "A model type of 'None'

When I try to create a design of 2D lines and/or points. I get the following error/warning message: "A model type of 'None' could be invalid for field devices. Continue anyway?"

I can, and do, publish anyways as it is clearly what I intended. But this message is new and I am unsure as to why TBC is second guessing me here, surfaces, roadways, and alignments clearly aren't the only thing we are in need of layout for, and linework is not always 3D. Is there some change that I am not aware of that has caused this new message?

I can't answer what you want to happen, I'm not familiar with your application software, you can do some research or go to the application's help center website.

This is a little different as your publishing straight to WM from TBC.  Have you tried to just do the nonWorksmanager create job site design?

GCS900 machines are incapable of working with a model type of none.  Even if you don't have any GCS900 machines, worksmanager still creates the files to publish to them.  Its just warning you that if you try to load the design on that type of machine it won't work.  As far as I can tell if still produces the required files for all the other machine types and functions as expected.
