Important Note! This version of Trimble Business Center is available to users whose current warranty expiration date (perpetual license users) is November 1, 2025 or later. If your warranty expires prior to this date and you proceed with the installation, licensed features will not be available. You can contact your distributor to purchase a warranty extension or renew your subscription. In the TBC ribbon, select Support > License Manager to verify your warranty or subscription expiration date. All current TBC subscription licenses are entitled to the program.

The following items were not included in the TBC 2025.20 Release Notes due to translation deadlines:

  • Change the scale bar color - You can now adjust the color of the scale bar in the Plan View, under Project Settings > View > Plan View > Grid Options. (See Change the Gridline Display in the help.)
  • Some functions in Connected Workspace require a TBC subscription license - In Connected Workspace, the Workspace tab is only available to clients with a TBC subscription license. If you are using a Perpetual license, the functionality of the tab is disabled.
  • Exporting data in Connected Workspace - While using Connected Workspace, the only way to export data is to use the Remote save command.
  • Release note clarification - The latest release note for new ANZ Toolbox commands included a bullet for Map Feature Attribute. That bullet included this paranthetical:

@Kyle Brown

Kyle - I sooo wanted this to work, but unfortunately it did not. I pathed out to what appeared to be a 42.0 and 43.0 directory under the file path you mentioned.  The previous user file under 42.0 was no longer present and I just downloaded 2025.20 again so that was the only user profile available being the current one.  We have offices throughout the US and our other surveyors are still having the same issues.  Saving to the local drive is just not an option.

Product Manager at TBC has offered some ideas about my images being tagged in two separate different project files I sent him. I know that's not the case because we bring in images / TLS data, property corner / ROW images tagged from the TSC5's etc and its never been an issue.  He also mentioned point clouds disappearing due to working on the network but again never been the case.  I am going to send him the project folders for import and let him tinker with it until they provide a fix for the bug.

Thanks for the additional idea.  I am glad it worked for you! I will keep in touch.

@Mark Keeton

Not sure if you're still using 2025.20

I discovered that if I go to options, bottom left "manage options", then import file, and then under the "Available user settings files from other versions..." is a User.options file.

If I left click that and hit import, the problem goes away. I am thinking that somewhere within the options that you and I currently have set, and the previous options pathed from here:
AppData\Roaming\Trimble\Trimble Business Center\42.0\User.options
There is some issue that is causing an issue with working on a server.

Just food for thought, I'll forward this to Trimble.

Hey Kyle - no ... me and my staff work on a server location 100% of the time and previous versions never had this issue in the past not to say this cant happen now, but our licenses are on various servers in another state and office. Not that matters too much, but our project vce files are project specific by a number with a handful of folks working in the TBC file. It would be painful to have every person merge their file processes (we create each survey controller by layer based on file name) into one TBC file.  e.g. stake out, boundary or ROW effort, terrestrial lidar scan all by file names ...01..02..03 etc.  I have reached out to the product manager as part of the Beta team to see if this is consistent and apparently I am the first to report. I will get back with this thread moving forward.  Thanks for confirming that it works on a local drive though!  Cheers!

I recently discovered that this stutter/lag only happens to me when I am working off a server. If I take any VCE and do a "Save As" to my local C or D drive, the stutter/lag goes away. (If you save it right back to the server, the lag will come back too.)

Is this also exactly what is happening to you @Mark?

I am currently awaiting a solution from a few different troubleshooters and will update here and a few other places once this is resolved.

I see an inquiry on this thread about the lag time for the new downloaded version in "plan view". Anyone found a remedy?  This makes 2025.20 unusable at this stage. Had to go back to 2025.10.

Eric,

The Trimble Desktop Utility provides authentication to Trimble services running on your PC, e.g., connected workspaces. If you do not use Trimble Connect, then you will not need the utility at this time, but leaving it won't hurt anything.

What is the Trimble Desktop Utility it installed?

11-19-2025 13:24

Kyle. this may not resolve the entire issue, but there's a new TBC tip that explains how to optimize Nvidia graphics settings for TBC, if that's the card you have.

https://community.trimble.com/blogs/tavish-comrie/2025/10/24/tbc-tip-249-configuring-your-nvidia-graphics-card?CommunityKey=d961b046-1661-40f3-8d7e-0bde6866a14d

My coworker and I just downloaded the 2025.20 (2025.20.9440.24322) update. We suddenly both have very bad lag/frame skipping within the plan view. Any thoughts?

Feels like graphics card settings got messed up.

At the bottom of the Civil Construction Software Downloads page is one place. Soon, it will also be available on the TBC Downloads page for Geospatial.

Where can it be downloaded?
