Hello,
I have a job requirement where a client is asking for an "ASCII file identifying the highest LiDAR point return per square meter." The area is about 285 000 sq m. So, I am looking for an option within TBC in order to automate this extraction.
Anyone have any input on whether such a macro exists?
Has anyone produced a similar deliverable?
Is TBC the right program to run this type of operation?

LASTools has a macro called "lasgrid" which does exactly this.

Hi Ben,
this task would be possible in TBC programming a macro to do that. There are just a few developers worldwide capable to do this and as you are based in Canada (so far I guessed), you could get in touch with Rockpile Solutions from the US. Not sure whether there is any Canadian TBC developer.
I´m also developing solutions and Plugin under TBC, however, unfortunately I´m too busy right now with many other projects, so I´m afraid I cannot do it myself for now.
You can have a look at my next Buildings Plugin for TBC (in Beta version now) on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qszOp7mc5ck in case it can help you for your scanning projects.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Fernando
