I am trying to do a selection of points and break lines from a OG surface xml.  I am wanting to draw a linestring or polyline roughly along the EP so I can create a boundary and then offset the selected info within the created boundary down by 2".  I know I am able to do this with the polygon select function.  One of the reasons I would like to do a boundary line is to share exactly what I selected and modified the elevation down.

I attached a snip to help clarify my question.

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Tysen: If I understand correctly... What I do is turn on just the tin surface model and create a linestring along the EP on each side and then join the ends. This creates a closed boundary for selecting and gives me the EP lines as well.

Does this answer what you need?

That does make sense.  Thank you!!

After I posted this question I went back to good old Terramodel to see how I would have done it there.  That would have been the "inside" option.  I then went back to TBC help and used "inside" as a keyword search.  That is where I found the command "selectbypolygon".  Where I could then choose inside, outside, or crossing boundary.  That is exactly what I was looking for.

I appreciate the quick reply.  Thanks again!
