Hi Ronny,
unfortunately I don´t remember where I picked this quote from, but probably from the release notes or from somewhere inside this community, however the information was from Trimble.
I didn´t get it to work and din´t try other ways as I already wasted a lot of time and didn´t want to keep trying if it´s presumably even not possible anyway, for some reason.
Sorry for not being able to help much with this.
Regards,
Fernando

Hi Fernando, did you get another folder to work?
Where is that quote from? I did find the environment variable mentioned in the stone old dimensions presentation https://community.trimble.com/HigherLogic/System/DownloadDocumentFile.ashx?DocumentFileKey=40600eca-47da-448a-bff4-9dfebcbaaffa&forceDialog=0 but nowhere else.
Tried it on my private machine with latest V2025.10, doesn't work.
Facing the same issue now with the standard folder being locked during/after install. IT is meanwhile unwilling/unable to remotely login and unlock the folder. Everything needs to be done during the installation via software deployment system, any manual changes afterwards are denied.

Subject: Macro folder redirection through environment variable does not work ?
Hi guys,
as the most of my customers and partners are having issues with the read-only property of the MacroCommands3 folder (as expected BTW), I´ve tried to create first manually the environment variables as described by the TBC team as follows:
"TBC does support macro folder redirection. If you define an environment variable named "TBC_Macro3Path", the value of the variable should be the folder where TBC should search for macros (instead of C:\ProgramData\Trimble\MacroCommands3). Environment variable "TBC_Macro3Path2" can be used to define a folder that TBC searches in addition to the normal folder."
For some reason, it does not work on my side. Not sure whether I´m doing something wrong, but did any of you tried it and it works?
Thanks a lot.
Regards,
Fernando
