 Issue with multiple corridor templates

Hi, I`m using TBC 2025.10 and I want to create a corridor with different templates (cross sections and gaps). I create a complex template at the start station an everything is ok. The template runs from beginning to the end of the alignment. But by adding  a second template at an specific station, TBC crashes and shows a report (see attachment). Option settings for graphics is "open gl".

Is that second template a new/empty one, or do you reference the old one, or do you try to create it from a file template?

I'm on the same version and did quite a bit of corridor modelling before Christmas.

I haven't seen it fail with an empty new one.

I did have massive issues though with conditional statements crashing the "Transaction manager" all the time, having to restart TBC very often. But I couldn't pinpoint what exactly was causing it and our dealer hadn't heard about that symptom either.

Copy and pasting instructions, especially from other templates basically didn't work at all. Not crashing though, just refusing to paste, since the referring node didn't exist. I never use "previous node" in my instructions, I always prefer to point the instructions to one specific node. So, instead of leaving the fields blank it plainly refuses to paste the instructions.

Creating a template from an XML file did basically not work either. Most likely the same issue with instructions pointing to nodes that don't exist yet.

If the second template is an empty one, TBc crashes always. Otherwise only sometimes. At this time I created the templates in the corridor menu. Last time i created the first template using the corridor menu, and additional templates by using the project explorer. And it works with empty templates too.

What do you mean by Corridor menu? That you clicked on "Insert Template" in the template editor, while the cross section of your first template with all its instructions was visible on the screen?

And the other time, when it doesn't crash, you right click on the corridor in the project explorer, while the template view is closed (not visible on screen)?

The menu those actions open, where you enter the start station and name for the new template, is the same. So, from what I understand so far, it sounds as if there is a difference whether the template editor is visible on screen while trying to add a new template?

Can you select your corridor and export it as "VCL Project Link exporter" (Export-Construction-second to last in the list). That would automatically include all geometry the corridor is based on. And either upload the file here, or send me a link to r.schneider.eu@gmail.com

I have been in contact with Otto via email. He also sent me a VCL file, but I couldn't get it to crash. So, I doubted the project being the issue. More likely something weird going on with the user interface. And that reminded me of https://community.trimble.com/discussion/null-rerference-exception-when-trying-to-export

So, I suggested to reset the options as a quick test, before considering reinstallation and cleanup utility.

I've got feedback now. Resetting the options obviously solved it.
