TBC Community Forum Decorum

The TBC Community is for customers and end users to collaborate, teach, learn, and encourage one another with new and exciting workflows within TBC. The TBC Community is a professional space and contributors are required to maintain a constructive tone. Any intolerance, personal insults, and negative comments will be flagged and removed with all perpetrators being removed from the group without warning.

If there are TBC bugs or issues that need to be addressed, please first reach out to your local Trimble Authorized Dealer or communicate with a Trimble representative in a private message. 

Thank you for your understanding and support as we all build the TBC Community into a productive environment to learn and contribute to improving TBC’s survey and construction workflows.

  • TBC v5.90.1 Patch Now Avaliable!

    Hello TBC users! We are pleased to announce that Trimble Business Center (TBC) version 5.90.1 Patch is now available for download. See the Read Me for details.

    Version update: Trimble Business Center version 5.90.1 now available

    You can update to the new TBC version 5.90.1 by clicking the Check for Updates link located above this News frame (or by selecting Support > License > Check for Updates).
    This updated version of Trimble Business Center is available to:
    ·        Perpetual license users whose current warranty expiration date is May 1, 2023 or later. (If your perpetual license warranty expires prior to this date and you proceed with the installation, licensed features will not be available.)
    ·        Subscription license users whose subscription is currently active.
    If necessary, you can contact your local Trimble Distribution Partner to purchase a warranty extension or renew your subscription. In the TBC ribbon, select Support > License Manager to view your warranty or subscription expiration date.
    This release of TBC includes several new features and a number of bug fixes. For a complete list and additional details, see the TBC 5.90.1 Read Me file:

  • TBC Version 5.90 Now Avaliable!

    Hello TBC users! We are pleased to announce that Trimble Business Center (TBC) version 5.90 is now available for download. 

    TBC version 5.90 emphasizes features and functionality that automate tasks, simplify data processing and better connect actionable information to project team members, stakeholders and communities.

    Some exciting features and highlights are listed here and in the Release Notes:

    Mobile mapping batch processing—Long pre-processing operations like scan generation, classification and colorization can be performed more efficiently in overnight sessions. 

    Simplified point cloud stockpile extraction—Automatically generate stockpile boundaries and calculate volumes without manual interaction.

    Point cloud classification and feature extraction—With the implementation of deep learning capabilities, point cloud classifications are of higher quality and feature extraction has higher accuracy.

    Multi-code point feature specifications—Selectively or automatically assign feature codes during point extraction, allowing flexibility to assign appropriate feature codes to varying extracted features when necessary. 

    Expanded extraction support—Automatically extract manhole diameters and extract multiple road markings of the same type within an area of interest, increasing speed. 

    Streamline GIS Interoperability—Exchange survey data with ESRI Feature Service or postgres database.

    Expanded third-party UAS support and higher-quality deliverables—Support any type of drone with the expanded sensor library in addition to access to tools that eliminate bright spots, enhance geometry in shadow areas and more. 

    Improved power, process and speed—Existing workflows across cadastral, mobile mapping and takeoff/mass-haul while building on industry-standard CAD imports and tailored routines for Trimble and third-party field data formats have improved.

    Hope you all had a festive holiday season. The TBC Team has been conducting a competitive analysis project in assessing our product against similar market solutions over the last several months.

    As we conclude this project, we would like to request additional input, feedback and expertise from end-users like yourselves in assessing the qualitative aspects of TBC.

    I had this happen awhile back. Open your import editor and verify that at least 1 CSV option is enabled. Screen shot below shows P,N,E,elev,Code (Control) enabled. I accidently unchecked it at one point so TBC wouldn't recognize CSVs. ------------------------------ ...
